ABA Therapy

By combining expertise with compassion, Every Piece Counts strives to inspire positive change and empower families and their children to navigate their journey with confidence and support. Our skilled professionals collaborate closely with families to create a strong foundation for growth, focusing on communication, prosocial skills, and overall well-being.

The Benefits of Applied Behavior Analysis

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific, data driven field that has been utilizing the principles of learning and behavior to enrich the lives of children diagnosed with autism for over 30 years. ABA therapy focuses on enhancing behaviors, such as language, play, motor skills, learning readiness, self-help and other functional life skills. At Every Piece Counts, we focus on teaching skills in the most natural way possible, to increase the opportunity for generalization and maintenance of learned skills.

Our Programs

Center Based Programs

Our center programs are comprehensive and geared towards younger children between the ages of 18 months to 8 years of age that would benefit from a supportive and fun center environment. Receiving therapy in this setting allows for limited distractions that may be occurring in the home or daycare environment, the ability to teach prerequisite skills that will help with barriers in other settings, and allows for social skills and/or small group instruction with peers of the same age. Our centers allow for ½ day, full day, and after-school programs, with daily onsite guidance by BCBAs.

Home Programs

Our home programs are focused on increasing socially significant behavior and increasing the skills necessary to participate in the home and community environment. Examples of skills taught in the home might include, communicating wants or needs, increasing independent play skills, increasing cooperative play skills with a sibling, following functional directions (e.g., "Come here," or "Time to get dressed."), completing self-care tasks (e.g., hand washing, brushing teeth, getting dressed), and decreasing challenging behavior that impacts the child’s ability to participate in daily activities.
